The Operalia Competition has revealed the 12 finalists who will be competing for its top prize on Friday, July 26, 2019.

The 12 finalists included Felicia Moore, Gihoon Kim, Christina Nilsson, Piotr Buszewski, Xabier Anduaga, Bongani Justice Kubheka, Liv Redpath, Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen, Anna Shapovalova, Maria Kataeva, Adriana Gonzalez, and Mario Bahg.

While making the announcement, legendary singer Plácido Domingo noted that the scores for some of the contestants were so close that it was necessary to add two singers to the list that usually comprises just 10 artists.

In the zarzuela competition, the five finalists include Xabier Anduaga, Gihoon Kim, Mario Bahg, Maria Kataeva, Adriana Gonzalez.

Over the next few days, the finalists will get an opportunity to prepare their respective arias, which they will perform with orchestra under the musical direction of Domingo. The final will be live streamed via medici.tv.
