Opera North has announced its 2025-26 season.

Judith Weier’s “The Secret of the Black Spider” will be conducted by Nicholas Shaw and directed by Rosie Kat.

Handel’s “Susanna” will star Anna Dennis, Matthew Brook, and Claire Lees. Johanna Soller conducts the production by Olivia Fuchs.

Performance Dates: Oct. 4 – Nov. 21, 2025

Isabela Díaz and Olivia Boen lead Puccini’s “La Bohème” with Anthony Ciaramitaro, Joshua Blue, Elin Pritchard, Katie Bird, Grisha Martirosyan, Josef Jeongmeen Ahn, Seán Boylan, Jeremy Peaker. Garry Walker and Catriona Beveridge conduct.

Jonathan Ainscough directs “The Big Opera Mystery.”

David Fenessy’s “Pass the Spoon” will be performed with Garry Walker conducting and Nicholas Bone directing.

Liam James Karai, Hera Hyesang Park, Claire Lees, Gabriella Reyes, James Newby, and Hongni Wu lead Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro.” Valentina Peleggi and Oliver Rundell conduct the production by Louisa Muller.

Performance Dates: Jan. 30 – March 28, 2026

Garry Walker conducts a revival production of Britten’s “Peter Grimes” with John Findon, Philippa Boyle, Simon Bailey, Hilary Summers, Stuart Jackson, Blaise Malaba, and Claire Pascoe.
