The second annual Haydneum Festival at Esterhaza Castle in Fertöd has released the details of its 2024 program.

Ella Smith, Marianne Beate Kielland, Márton Komáromi, and Szilveszter Szélpál star in a concert performance of Haydn’s “L’isola disabitata.” György Vashegyi conducts the Orfeo Orchestra on period instruments.

The ICMA award-winning album “Jouissons de nos beaux ans” makes its Budapest premiere. Cyrille Dubois, Inna Husieva, and Tetiana Yashvili perform alongside the Purcell Choir and Orfeo Orchestra led by György Vashegyi.

Händel’s oratorio “Judas Maccabeus” stars Adriána Kalafszky, Katalin Szutrély, Zoltán Megyesi, and Zsombor Cserményi. Augustin Szokos conducts the Purcell Choir and Orfeo Orchestra.

Bach’s “St. Matthew Passion” is performed by Ágnes Kovács, Eszter Balogh and Péter Bárány (alternating five concerts), Bernhard Berchtold, Zoltán Megyesi, Zoltán Melkovics, and Julian Orlishausen. They are joined by the  Purcell Choir and  Orfeo Orchestra led by György Vashegyi.
