By David Salazar

Fai Da Te Producitons will present “Highlights of Verdi’s Don Carlo” on Nov. 24, 2026 at Cadogan Hall.

The showcase, which will feature the 1886 Modena version of the opera, star tenor Gwyn Hughes Jones in the title role opposite soprano Elizabeth Llewellyn as Elisabeth de Valois. Joining them are bass David Soar as Filippo, baritone Patrick Alexander Keefe as Rodrigo and mezzo-soprano Anna Werle as Eboli.

The chorus will include students from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and the orchestra will draw players from the Glyndebourne Sinfonia. Matthew Kofi Waldren will conduct, following his recent performances leading Puccini’s “La Fanciulla del West” at Opera Holland Park.

The concert will offer a condensed selection of highlights from Verdi’s opera, running two hours and 45 minutes with an interval.
