Gustavo Dudamel to Stream Beethoven’s Nine Symphonies

In celebration of Beethoven’s 250th birthday, Gustavo Dudamel will stream all nine Beethoven symphonies for free on his YouTube channel on Dec. 17, 2020.

The marathon begins at 10 a.m. and will feature videos filmed during a series of March 2017 performances with the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, at the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona, Spain.

The performances featured will be seen for the first time on social media.

The marathon begins with the Egmont Overture followed by Symphony No. 1. There will then be streams of the Coriolan overture, Symphony No. 2, Symphony No. 3, Symphony No. 4, Symphony No. 5, Symphony No. 6, Symphony No. 7, and  Symphony No. 8.

The marathon will conclude with the celebratory Symphony No.9.
