Gulfshore Opera Announces ‘Viva Verdi’ & ‘World of Webber’ Concert Tours

Gulfshore Opera has announced the program for season seven of its Winter Tour in Charlotte County, Florida.

First up will be “Viva Verdi,” three concerts celebrating the composer with scenes and selections from some of his most famous works. The program will feature soprano Robyn Marie Lamp, joined by tenor Derrek Stark and baritone Jean Carlos Rodriguez, and accompanied by Brian Holman. They will present selections from “Aida,” “Ernani,” “Don Carlos,” Il Trovatore,” and more.

The tour will perform February 18 at the Sanibel Community House; February 21 at Gulf Theatre, Punta Gorda; and February 23 at Hayes Hall, Artis – Naples. The Feb. 21 performance comes in partnership with The Gulf Theatre at the Military Heritage Museum in Punta Gorda and will be available for live streaming with tickets at a reduced price.

This will be followed by “The World of Webber,”  a similar series dedicated to the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber.

This concert showcase will star sopranos Nadia Marshall and Lauren Davis as well as Holman. Also performing will be Glenn Seven Allen. Performances are set for Jan. 29 at the United Chruch of Marco Island; Jan. 31 at the Sanibel Community House; Feb. 2 at Naples Art; and Feb. 4 at the Gulf Theater in Punta Gorda.
