Gulfshore Opera Announces 2021 ‘Opera al Fresco’ Concert Series

Gulfshore Opera has announced an open-air “Opera al Fresco” concert series under the direction of Steffanie Pearce.

It all kicks off with “La Bohème” in a production by Barbara Mann.

Performance Date: Jan. 24, 2021

Gulfshore Opera’s “World of Lloyd Webber”, offers songs and ensembles from “Phantom of the Opera,” “Love Never Dies,” “Evita,” Aspects of Love,” and “Jesus Christ Supertar” as interpreted by American tenor John Riesen and sopranos Nadia Marshall and Lauren Davis, all accompanied on piano by Brian Holman.

Performance Dates: Jan. 29 – Feb. 4, 2021

Next up will be “A Night in Italy,” featuring a program of great arias, duets and songs on a piazza stage with fountain and night lights.

Performance Date: Feb. 6, 2021

“Viva Verdi” will feature a quartet of opera artists presenting excerpts from “Il Trovatore,” “Aida,” “Othello,” and the Requiem and other. The concert stars soprano Robyn Marie Lamp.

Performance Dates: Feb. 18-March 11, 2021

Finally, “The Bat’s Revenge (Die Fledermaus)” will be directed by Josh Shaw.

Performance Dates: March 13, 14, 2021
