Guiomar Cantó to Debut at Lancut Music Festival Alongside Artur Rucinski
By Nicolas QuirogaSpanish soprano Guiomar Cantó is set to make her debut at the upcoming Lancut Music Festival in Poland on June 4, 2023.
She will be joined by Polish baritone Artur Rucinski in a program featuring music by from “La Bohème,” “Roméo et Juliette,” “Macbeth,” and “Don Giovanni.” There will also be songs by Bottigliero based on text by García Lorca.
“This is an extraordinary opportunity in my career to share the stage with a figure like Rucinski, and I take pride in including Bottigliero’s musical compositions, based on poems by Lorca, in my repertoire,” said Ms. Cantó in an official press statement.
The soprano embarked on her musical journey through piano studies under the guidance of pianist and composer Manuel Carra. Later, she pursued vocal training at the Escuela Superior de Canto in Madrid and refined her vocal technique and repertoire studies with maestro Luca Fonte, who imparted the technical, aesthetic, and philosophical principles of the Italian Romantic School.
