Guildhall School of Music & Drama has announced its autumn 2026 season. Here are the vocal showcases on offer.

Guildhall Symphony Orchestra and Chorus open the season under conductor Eivind Aadland. The program includes a new fanfare by Diego Jimenez, followed by Aaron Copland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man” and Leonard Bernstein’s “Chichester Psalms.” The second half of the program showcases Mahler’s Symphony No. 4.

Mezzo soprano Aigul Akhmetshina presents “Love Without Borders: A Journey in Three Chapters” with pianist and composer Jonathan Palmer Lakeland.

Performance Date: Sept. 30, 2026

Vocalist and composer Elaine Mitchener curates “Always, Already There,” the UK edition of George Lewis’s Afrodiasporic Incubator Project, featuring vocalist Pamela Z alongside composers and electronic artists including Hannah Kendall, Jessie Cox, Cedrik Fermont, Yara Mekawei, Corie Rose Soumah, Njabulo Phangula, and Charles Uzor.

Guildhall School presents an opera double bill pairing Gian Carlo Menotti’s “Amelia al Ballo” with Leonard Bernstein’s “Trouble in Tahiti,” directed by Ashley Dean and conducted by Head of Opera Studies Dominic Wheeler, in new productions set in the 1950s.
