Guild Opera Company to Present Verdi’s ‘Macbeth’

Guild Opera Company will present Verdi’s “Macbeth” on April 25 and 26, 2025 at River of the Valley in Canoga Park.

The production will be directed by Gabriel Reoyo Pazos with Helen Wu conducting. Starring in the Verdi work is Carlos Oliva in the title role and Emma Berggren as Lady Macbeth. As Banco, audiences will see Dennis Rupp, while the role of Macduff will be performed by Elias Berezin. Other cast members include Yekaterina Lynch as Lady-in-waiting, Adam Oler as Malcolm, Carlos Gomez as Doctor, David De Melo as Servant and Messenger, and Alexei Helmbock as Sicario.

The three witches will be performed by  Jessica Berns-Garner, Laura Barrows and Julia Powers.

Guild Opera Company was founded in 1949 and is the second oldest opera company in California, after San Francisco Opera.
