
Gregory Kunde to Perform ‘Il Trittico’ with National Symphony Orchestra at Trump Kennedy Center & Carnegie Hall
By Francisco SalazarGregory Kunde is set to perform at the Trump Kennedy Center in a concert performance of “Il trittico” alongside the National Symphony Orchestra on April 29 and May 1, 2026.
The orchestra announced that he will replace Jonathan Tetelman, who withdrew from the performances.
Kunde will also headline the May 3 performance at Carnegie Hall.
The news comes as it was announced that the Trump Kennedy Center will close for two years after July 4, 2026. It also comes after many artists have canceled performances with the National Symphony Orchestra including Renée Fleming, Hilary Hahn, Philip Glass, and Bela Fleck. Recently the National Symphony Orchestra’s executive director Jean Davidson stepped down from her position.
Kunde joins a cast that includes Sabrina Gárdez, Erika Grimaldi, Agnieszka Rehlis, and Roman Burdenko. Gianandrea Noseda conducts.
