On June 14, the Teatro Nacional de São Carlos in Lisbon will open four concert performances of Verdi’s “Ernani.”

The opera will feature four international artists lead by Gregory Kunde in the title role, Hui He as Elvira, Simone Piazzola as Don Carlo, and Fabrizio Beggi as Silva.

Antonio Pirolli will conduct the Coro do Teatro Nacional de São Carlos and the Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa.

The performances will mark the debut of Piazzola and Hui He at the Teatro Nacional de São Carlos. Kunde is well known for his work in the bel canto, Verdi and verismo repertoire while Hui He is well known for her Verdi and Puccini interpretations.

Performances will also be held on June 16, 18, and 20, 2021.
