On March 28, 2023, the Grand Theatre de Geneve will present the world premiere of Christian Jost’s “Journey Towards Hope.”

The new work adapts the film of the same name by Swiss filmmaker Xavier Koller and follows a displaced Kurdish family’s journey to Switzerland. Originally scheduled for release in spring of 2020, the work will make its premiere this March, under Hungarian director Kornel Mundruczo, in his third collaboration with the company.

Under the musical direction of Gabriel Feltz, the cast will feature Turkish baritone Kartal Karagedik, and Tunisian mezzo-soprano Rihab Chaieb, along with Matteo Ivan Thirion, Denzil Delaere, Julieth Lozano, and Omar Mancini.

The production will run on March 28, 30, 31, and April 2, and 4, 2023.
