Grand Teton Festival Launches ‘Setting the Stage’ Campaign
By David SalazarGrand Teton Music Festival has launched its “Setting the Stage” campaign, which aims to recoup funds to help the festival grow its endowment and make improvements and renovations to the Walk Festival Hall.
Per an official press release, as of June 17, 2025, the organization has raised $35 million, including a $5 million gift from honorary co-chairs Frances and Allan Tessler. There was also a $10 million grant from the Jackson Hole Housing Fund.
“For more than 60 years, the Grand Teton Music Festival has been a beloved destination for musicians and audiences from our region and around the world,” said GTMF Executive Director Emma Kail, per an official press release. “We are incredibly fortunate to have the support of fiercely loyal patrons and community members who understand GTMF’s impact in and beyond Jackson Hole and the need to secure the Festival’s future.”
Walk Festival Hall is 50-years-old and requires changes to its infrastructure and public spaces. The funds will aid in improving accessibility, audience experience, and technology, new seating, and refreshed backstage areas. There will also be a new 3,000 square-foot lobby, a relocated box office, and more restrooms. There will also be a redesigned deck with snowmelt infrastructure as well as a new concession area.
“We owe the hall—and the vision behind the hall—everything,” added GTMF Music Director Sir Donald Runnicles. “It is a remarkable instrument and an acoustical marvel. These improvements are essential to maintain our jewel of a performance space and to ensure that our audiences have the best experience possible.”
