Gran Teatre del Liceu Postpones Gustavo Dudamel’s Concert Due to COVID-19

The Gran Teatre del Liceu canceled its Nov. 21 concert with Gustavo Dudamel due to COVID-19.

The company announced that the L’Opéra National de Paris, which was set to perform in Barcelona, was forced to cancel the concert due to a positive case of COVID-19 within the orchestra.

As a result, the the Liceu is looking to reschedule the transmission and all tickets will be transferred over to the new date.

Dudamel is set to conduct a production of “Turandot” in Paris and will conduct with the LA Philharmonic in January. The conductor recently led the soundtrack to the film adaptation of “West Side Story,” directed by Steven Spielberg, which opens on Dec. 10 in theaters.
