Gran Teatre del Liceu Cancels 2023-24 Season Streams

By Francisco Salazar

The Gran Teatre del Liceu has canceled all upcoming streams on its Liceu + Live due to contract and image rights agreements.

In a press statement, the company said, in March 2022 the Gran Teatre del Liceu and the representatives of the Chrous and Orchestra started conversations about renewing audiovisual rights contracts. However, neither party has yet to reach an agreement and therefore the company has to cancel the upcoming streams.

The new streaming season was set to begin on Oct. 8 with “Eugene Onegin” and was also set to include performances of “Antony & Cleopatra,” “Turandot,” “Un ballo in maschera,” and “La Cenerentola.”

All subscribers will receive a refund.
