The Gran Teatre del Liceu has announced a cast change for its June 27 performance of “Die Zauberflöte.”

The company noted that Nicolas Testé will interpret the role of Sarastro replacing Stephen Milling, who has tested positive for COVID-19.

Milling is the latest member of the production to test positive following Javier Camarena who was forced to cancel the June 26 performance.

Testé has performed at the Metropolitan Opera, Opera de Paris, Teatro alla Scala, Oper de Lyon, Theater an der Wien, and Bayerische Staatsoper.

The bass-baritone is set to join a cast that includes Julien Behr, Matthias Goerne, Joan Martín-Royo, Sara Blanch, and Serena Saenz. Paolo Bortolameolli conducts the production by Sir. David McVicar.

Performances of “Die Zauberflote” continue through July 2.
