
Gran Teatre del Liceu Announces Multiple Cast Changes for ‘Aida’
By Francisco SalazarThe Gran Teatre del Liceu has announced various cast changes for its production of “Aida.”
The company said, that Àngel Òdena will sing Amonasro, replacing Ariun Ganbaatar on Sept. 23, 29, Oct. 3, 8, 11, and 14, 202.6
The bass Vittorio De Campo will sing the King, replacing Manuel Fuentes, while tenor Ivan Gyngazov will sing Radamès, replacing Yusif Eyvazov on Sept. 25, 27, Oct. 1, 4, and 7, 2026.
Meanwhile, barítones Ludovic Tézier (Sept. 27, Oct. 2 & 6 )and Amartuvshin Enkhbat (Oct. 9, 13, 15 ) will replace Igor Golovatenko in the role of Amonasro.
Basses George Andguladze and Vittorio De Campo will share the role of the King on Riccardo Fassi and soprano Carmen Buendia will sing the Sacerdotessa on Sept. 25, 28, Oct. 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, 13 & 15 and soprano Núria Vilà will sing the Sacerdotessa on Sept. 23, 27, 29, Oct. 3, 7, 8, 11 & 14, 2026.
“Aida” opens on Sept. 25 and will also stars Anna Netrebko, Anna Pirozzi, Piotr Beczala, and Ekaterina Semenchuk, among others. Antonello Manacorda and Josep Gil conducts Shirin Neshat’s production.
