Gran Teatre del Liceu Announces Cast Change for ‘The Queen of Spades’

The Gran Teatre del Liceu has announced a cast change for “The Queen of Spades.”

The company noted that Sondra Radvanovsky will not sing the first performances of the opera. As a result, Lianna Haroutounian will sing performances on Jan. 26 and Feb. 2, 4, 6, and 10, 2022. Additionally, Irina Churilova will sing the performance on Jan. 27, 2022.

Radvanovsky will sing the performances scheduled on Feb. 1, 5, 8, and 11, 2022.

“The Queen of Spades” will be performed in a production by Gilbert Deflo and conducted by Dmitry Jurowsky. The cast will include Yusif Eyvazov, Lukasz Golinsky, Rodion Pogossov, Elena Zaremba, Lena Belkina, Cristina Fau, George Oniani, Gevorg Hakobyan, and Andrey Zhilikhovsky.

The opera is set to open on Jan. 26 and runs through Feb. 11, 2022.
