The Gran Teatre del Liceu has announced a cast change for its production of Rossini’s “La Cenerentola.”

The company said that due to health reasons, Javier Camarena was forced to cancel the June 1 performance of “La Cenerentola.” As a result, Sunnyboy Dladla took over the role of Don Ramiro.

Dladla was already performing the role in another cast with the company and, as a result of the cast change, he will appear in three straight performances of the oepra.

The tenor will sing alongside Florian Sempey, Paolo Bordogna, Maria Kataeva, and Erwin Schrott. Giacomo Sagripanti conducts the production by Emma Dante.
