The Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona has announced a cast change for its April 13 performance of “Cosi fan tutte.”

The company noted that Florian Sempey will sing the role of Gugliemo replacing Robert Gledow, who has a muscle injury.

Sempey has performed at the Paris Opera, Royal Opera House, the Rossini Festival in Pesaro, the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Dutch National Opera, the Deutsche Oper in Berlin,the Drottningholms Slottsteater, the Opéra Royal in Versailles, and the Opéra Comique, among others. His repertoire includes Mozart, Rossini, Donizetti, Bizet, Gounod, and Berlioz.

The baritone joins a cast that includes Ana-Maria Labin, Angela Brower, Julien Henric, Alexandre Duhamel, and Miriam Albano. Marc Minkowski conducts.

Robert Gledow returns for the final two performances on April 21 and 25, 2022.
