Golda Schultz, Lawrence Brownlee, Anthony Roth Costanzo Headline San Francisco Performances 2020-21 Season

San Francisco Performances has unveiled its 2020-21 season which will feature a number of diverse musical performances. For the purposes of this article, our focus will be on vocal performances.

Lawrence Brownlee brings a recital entitled “Crooners” with emphasis on vocalists from the 50s and 60s. This gala performance will be in benefit of San Francisco Performances’ education and outreach programs.

Performance Date: Oct. 2, 2020

Mezzo-soprano Angelika Kirchschlager and pianist Julius Drake will interpret Schubert’s “Winterreise.”

Performance Date: Feb. 20, 2021

The Medieval Trio will perform “Lumen de Lumine,” a program of French medieval music as well as traditional Scandinavian songs.

Performance Dates: March 6, 2021

Countertenor Anthony Roth Costanzo will join forces with composer Timo Andres and the Attacca Quartet for music by Glass and Andres.

Performance Date: April 29, 2021 

Soprano Golda Schultz and pianist Jonathan Ware will perform a recital with the program yet to be determined.

Performance Date: May 4, 2021
