Glyndebourne has announced new programming for its Open House streaming service.

In addition to presenting Mozart and Da Ponte’s trilogy between May 24 and June 13, the company will also be showcasing two unique works spanning hundreds of years.

On June 14, the company will be present “Vanessa” in collaboration with OperaVision. The operatic thriller hails from a 2018 production directed by Keith Warner. Taking on the title role is soprano Emma Bell with Edgaras Montvidas as Anatol and Virginie Verrez as Erika. The London Philharmonic Orchestra is conducted by Jakub Hrůša.

Then on June 21, the company will take audiences back to the 1700s for Handel’s “Rinaldo.” The 2011 recording of the Robert Carsen production stars Sonia Prina as Rinaldo, Anett Fritsch as Almirena, Brenda Rae as Armida, and Luca Pisaroni as Argante. Conductor Ottavio Dantone leads the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.

All operas can be streamed on the company’s official website or its YouTube channel.
