Glyndebourne has announced the appointment of Sam Garner-Gibbons as its new Technical and Production Director.

Garner-Gibbons has worked with Chichester Festival Theatre over the last nine seasons. He will take up his new position at Glyndebourne in January 2025. Throughout his career, he has worked with such organizations as Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, The Young Vic, Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall, and Wembley Concert Hall, among others.

“After three immensely happy and stimulating decades at Chichester, I’m very privileged to immerse myself in the world of opera and join Glyndebourne on its journey to its centenary. It’s a truly exciting time for this beautiful venue and to be part of the team to deliver its vision for the next 10 years is a dream come true,” Garner-Gibbons said, per an official press release.

Sam brings a wealth of experience and expertise and joins the executive team at an exciting time as we head towards the company’s centenary, aiming to make Glyndebourne a state-of-the art hub of artistic excellence,” said Stephen Langridge, Artistic Director of Glyndebourne, in an official press release.
