Glyndebourne Announces 2021 Tour

Glyndebourne has announced the return of its tour in 2021.

The tour will see the company bring opera to communities in Canterbury, Milton Keynes, Norwich, and Liverpool.

First up will be “Fidelio” starring Dorothea Herbert and Adam Smith. Frederic Wake-Walker directs and Ben Glassberg conducts.

Performance Dates: Oct. 8-31 (Glyndebourne)

The company will then feature “Don Pasquale” in a production by Mariame Clément as conducted by Jonathan Bloxham.

Performance Dates: Oct. 10-28 (Glyndebourne); Nov. 5 ( Canterbury); Nov. 12 (Milton Keynes); Nov. 26 (Norwich); Dec. 3 (Liverpool)

Kerem Hasan will conduct “The Rake’s Progress.”

Performance Dates: Oct. 23-30 (Glyndebourne); Nov. 3 ( Canterbury); Nov. 10 (Milton Keynes); Nov. 24 (Norwich); Dec. 1 (Liverpool)

The company will also present Händel’s “Messiah.”

Performance Dates: Nov. 4 ( Canterbury); Nov. 11 (Milton Keynes); Nov. 25 (Norwich); Dec. 2 (Liverpool); Dec. 10 (Glyndebourne)

There will also be a series of Christmas Concerts at Glyndebourne.
