Gloriae Dei Cantores to Present Special Veterans Day Concerts

Gloriae Dei Cantores will perform a special concert in commemoration of Veterans’ Day on Nov. 11 and 12, 2022.

The showcase, which will be directed by Richard K. Pugsley at the Church of the Transfiguration in Orleans, Maryland, will feature performances of Finzi’s “Requiem da Camera” and Rutter’s “Gloria.”

Also on the program will be Michael Hale’s “The Call,” Samuel Adler’s “Psalm 23,” Rutter’s “God Be in My Head,” “The Lord’s Prayer” by Nikolai Kedrov, and an arrangement of “Battle Hymn of the Republic” by Peter J. Wilhousky.

The event is presented by Arts Empowering Life and aims to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. It will feature the wind Ensemble, orchestra, and brass ensemble.

Admission will be free for Veterans.
