Glimmerglass Festival Announces 2026 Season

The Glimmerglass Festival has announced its 2026 season. Here is a look at the productions.

Mainstage Productions

The season opens with Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Oklahoma!” opens the season. Francesca Zambello directs the production by James Lowe.

Performance Dates: July 10-August 15, 2026


Joshua Horowitz revives Francesca Zambello’s production of Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly.” Joseph Colaneri conducts.

Performance Dates: July 11-August 17, 2026


Kelley Rourke adapts Mozart’s “Cosi fan Tutte” in an English version. Eric Einhorn directs and Joseph Colaneri conducts.

Performance Dates: July 17-August 14, 2026


Gregory Spears and Greg Pierce’s “Fellow Travellers” will be directed by Kevin Newbury and conducted by Kelly Kuo.

Performance Dates: July 18-August 16, 2026


Ben Moore and Kelley Rourke’s “Robin Hood” will be performed, continuing Glimmerglass’s proud tradition of sharing opera for and with young people.

Performance Dates: August 2-7, 2026


Special Pavilion Events 

Alan Louis Smith’s “Vigenettes: Ellis Island” is a song cycle inspired by real stories of early 20th-century immigrants.

Performance Dates: July 30  & August 1, 2026


Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht’s “Happy End” will be performed.

Performance Dates: July 28 & 31, 2026
