Glenn Seven Allen to Present ‘The American Tenor’

By David Salazar

Tenor Glenn Seven Allen is set to debut “The American Tenor” on Nov. 2, 2024 at the Great Lakes Center for the Arts in his home state of Michigan.

The tenor will be accompanied by a 22-piece orchestra and will perform crossover hits in multiple languages. For example, U2’s “With or Without You” will be interpreted in Italian while “Bring Him Home” from “Les Misérables” will get a rendition in French.

“I am thrilled to return to my Michigan roots and share my deep passion for theater and opera on the Michigan stage,” said Glenn Seven Allen, an East Lansing native and part-time Mackinac Island resident, per an official press release. “This debut performance is a dream come true, and I hope it’s just the beginning of many more opportunities to bring world-class performances back to the state that shaped me as an artist.”

The tenor will also provide insights and anecdotes throughout the concert.

The showcase kicks off at 7 p.m. local time.
