Giselle Allen, Sébastien Guèze & Robert Hayward Lead Opera Norths’ 2023-24 Season

Henry Waddington, Helen Évora, Isabelle Peters, Egor Zhuravskii, Richard Burkhard, and Tichina Vaughn lead Verdi’s “Falstaff.” Garry Walker and Martin Pickard conduct the production by Jo Davies.
Performance Dates: Sept. 28-Nov. 18, 2023
Andri Björn Róbertsson, Anna Dennis, James Laing, Patrick Terry, Callum Thorpe, Xavier Hetherington, and Matthew Brook star in Purcell’s “Masque of Might.” Harry Bicket conducts, and Sir David Pountney directs.
Performance Dates: Oct. 6-Nov. 16, 2023
Puccini’s “La Rondine” will star Galina Averina, Claire Lees, Sébastien Guèze, and Elgan Llŷr Thomas. Kerem Hasan conducts the production by James Hurley.
Performance Dates: Oct. 20-Nov. 17, 2023
Britten’s “Albert Herring” will star Dame Josephine Barstow, Katie Bray, William Dazeley, Amy Freston, Richard Mosley-Evans, Dominic Sedgwick, and Heather Shipp. Garry Walker conducts the production by Giles Havergal.
Performance Dates: Jan. 12-March 2, 2024
Alexandra Lowe, Heather Lowe, Anthony Gregory, Henry Neill, and Quirijn de Lang lead Mozart’s “Cosi fan tutte.” Chloe Rooke and Clemens Schuldt conduct the production by Tim Albery.
Performance Dates: Feb. 2- April 6, 2024
The season concludes Mascagni’s “Cavalleria Rusticana” and Rachmanioff’s “Aleko.” Mascagni’s work will include Giselle Allen, Andrés Presno, Robert Hayward, and Anne-Marie Owens, while Rachmanioff’s work will include Robert Hayward, Elin Pritchard, Andrés Presno, and Anne-Marie Owens. Antony Hermus conducts Karolina Sofulak’s production.
