Gianandrea Noseda, Riccardo Muti & Donato Renzetti Lead Teatro Regio di Torino’s Winter Program

The Teatro Regio di Torino has announced its December, January, and February program.

The newly announced showcase will begin on Dec. 23 with the theater’s Christmas Concert. Gianandrea Noseda returns to the Teatro Regio to conduct the annual concert which will include music by Bach, Mozart, Lutero, and Stravinsky. The concert will feature the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro Regio and will be streamed on www.teatroregio.torino.it.

The year will end with the New Year’s Eve concert conducted by Donato Renzetti. The Dec. 31 performance will feature music by Charpentier, Händel, Mozart, Rossini, von Suppé, Strauss jr., Bizet, Tchaikovsky, and Borodin. There will also be music by De Falla, Warlock, and Respighi. Audiences can stream the concert via the aforementioned company website.

On Jan. 23 the company will present Puccini’s “La Boheme” on Classica HD Canale 136 of Sky. On Feb. 1 the presentation will be streamed on www.teatroregio.torino.it at 20:00 for a cost of € 5. The production will be conducted by Daniel Oren and will star Maria Teresa Leva, Iván Ayón Rivas, Paola Antonucci, Massimo Cavalletti, Alessio Cacciamani, Tommaso Barea, and Matteo Peirone.

In February, Riccardo Muti will make his Teatro Regio debut conducting “Così fan tutte” in a production by Chiara Muti. The production is expected to be presented for a complete audience and will star Mariangela Sicilia, Paola Gardina, Alessandro Luongo, Giovanni Sala, Francesca Di Sauro, and Marco Filippo Romano.
