Gianandrea Noseda Receives Ambrogino d’Oro in Milan

Conductor Gianandrea Noseda has received the Ambrogino d’Oro (Certificate of Merit) City of Milan 2024.

The conductor took to social media noting, “Honoured to receive this recognition from the City of Milan, my hometown. Thank you!”

Every year a maximum of 15 gold medals and 20 certificates of civic merit are awarded. The winners are chosen by the Bureau of the Milan city council and the prizes are awarded on December 7th, the feast of Sant’Ambrogio.

Noseda is the Music Director of the National Symphony Orchestra and Zurich Opera. He was recognized as “Best Conductor” by the jury of the German OPER! AWARDS, specifically for his Wagner interpretations and has released more than 80 recordings for various labels, including Deutsche Grammophon and Chandos. He is also the recipient of the Puccini Award.
