Gerald Finley Joins MWA Management

Famed Canadian bass-baritone Gerald Finley has joined the roster of the MWA Management.

“I am absolutely thrilled to welcome one of my favorite artists to the MWA family. I have always been a huge fan of Gerald Finley’s astonishing artistry and commitment to the art form. It is hard to imagine a more complete artist today and it is a true honour to work with him and to continue to support his extraordinary legacy,” said Maria Mot, founder of MWA Management, in an official press statement.

“I am thrilled to be joining Maria Mot and the dynamic team at MWA Management, following the retirement of my previous manager Stefania Almansi, and am looking forward immensely to the future of projects and collaboration with them. I want to thank IMG for all their support throughout the years and very much look forward to this new chapter in my professional life,” Finley added.

Finley is an internationally recognized opera singer who has appeared at the greatest opera venues during his long and fruitful career, including the Metropolitan Opera House, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Opéra National de Paris, Wiener Staatsoper, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Canadian Opera Company, and Bayerische Staatsoper, among others.

The bass-baritone is slated to appear in his signature role of Count Almaviva in Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro” at the Bayerische Staatsoper in March 2022 and Metropolitan Opera House in April 2022, before taking on his other signature role of villain Iago in Verdi’s “Otello” at the Bayerische Staatsoper in July 2022. Finley will also interpret the title role in Verdi’s “Falstaff” at the Wiener Staatsoper in June 2022.

The agency is representing such stars is Iréne Theorin, Lise Davidsen, Sofia Fomina, Erin Morley, and Leonardo Capalbo, among others.
