
Garsington Opera Announces New Partnership with British Youth Opera
By Francisco SalazarThe Garsington Opera has announced a new partnership with the British Youth Opera’s Serena Fenwick Programme.
The company said that, as a partner from 2026, it will help bring more resources, expertise, and opportunities for training singers, conductors, directors, and stage managers. The partnership will include sessions held at Garsington Studios as well as unique access to rehearsals, community productions, and progression pathways such as traineeships and our Alvarez Emerging Artists’ Programme.
The multi-year partnership with British Youth Opera will build on the programme’s track record of success, with alumni already heading to roles at leading organisations like the Royal Ballet and Opera, Scottish Opera, Wexford Festival Opera, and The Bridge Theatre.
The Garsington Opera was founded in 1989and is committed to excellence in art, supporting artists and providing opportunities for all to engage with opera in a welcoming environment. Next season, the festival will present “La traviata,” “Der Rosenkavalier,” “Il ritorno d’Ulisse” and “The Importance of Being Earnest.”
