The New York Choral Society has announced that Gabriella Reyes will join Anthony Roth Costanzo and Brandon Cedel for a concert on May 11, 2021.

The virtual concert will showcase the premiere of “Invitation to Love” by Jennifer Higdon. The choral work is based on the poem by Paul Laurence Dunbar in collaboration with sculptor and performance maker Gordon Hall.

Higdon and Hall will join David Hayes to discuss the making of “Invitation to Love.” The live stream will also include a silent auction and special guests.

Higdon is the composer behind “Cold Mountain” and has won a Pulitzer prize and three Grammy awards. Her compositions have been performed by the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Cleveland Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony, the Atlanta Symphony, the National Symphony, the Minnesota Orchestra, the Pittsburgh Symphony, the Indianapolis Symphony, and the Dallas Symphony.
