Premieres
Michael Kunze and Sylvester Levay’s “Rebecca” will star Antonia Kalinowski, Mark Seibert, Jan Ammann, Bettina Mönch, David Jakobs, Andreas Schneider, Amani Robinson, Alexandra Farkic, Max Lochmüller, Markus Schneider, Andreas Schneider, and Martin Planz. Carlos Vázquez conducts Gil Mehmert’s production.
Performance Dates: Sept. 19, 2026-April 10, 2027
Mascagni’s “Cavalleria Rusticana” and Puccini’s “Gianni Schicchi” will be performed in a double bill. Gil Mehmert directs.
Mascagni’s work will star Bianca Mărgean, Viktor Antipenko, Nefeli Kotseli, Mandla Mndebele, and Tanja Christine Kuhn while Puccini’s opera will star Ks. Morgan Moody, Anna Sohn, Marianna Ortugno, Nefeli Kotseli, Sungho Kim, and Ioan Hotea.
Performance Dates: Nov. 7, 2026-Feb. 12, 2027
Humperdinck’s “Hansel and Gretel” will be directed by Alexander Becker. The production will star Daegyun Jeong, Franz Schilling, Nefeli Kotseli, Edvina Valjevcic, Ruth Katharina Peeck, Cosima Büsing, Tanja Christine Kuhn, Wendy Krikken, and Merlin Wagner. Jordan de Souza conducts.
Performance Dates: Nov. 29, 2026-Feb. 21, 2027
“Das Geheimnis der Knusperhexe” will star Franz Schilling, Edvina Valjevcic, Cosima Büsing, Wendy Krikken, and Merlin Wagner. Koji Ishizaka coducts the production by Alexander Becker.

A Musical Christmas will star Harriet Jones, and Anton Zetterholm.

The company will present “Alle Neune – Die Operetten-Show.” Götz Alsmann welcomes the audience to an extraordinary evening at the opera house ccompanied by the soloists of the Dortmund Opera as musical companions and each evening they welcome different prominent guests: Bettina Mönch and Gil Mehmert (January 24), Annette Dasch (February 7), Anna Sohn and Heribert Germeshausen (March 21), Helen Donath (April 7), Rolando Villazón (April 11), Christine Westermann (April 30), Angelika Milster (May 6), Tim Fischer (May 29), Johannes Martin Kränzle (June 20).

“Brünnhilde brennt” will star Catherine Foster, Sooyeon Lee, Tanja Christine Kuhn, Nefeli Kotseli, Joachim Goltz, Mandla Mndebele, Ks. Morgan Moody, and Sungho Kim. Jonathan Stockhammer conducts the production by Neil Barry Moss.

Wagner’s “Tannhäuser” will star Gabriela Scherer, Daniel Frank, Gihoon Kim, and Sungho Kim.
