The Fundación Victoria de los Ángeles has received the Premio Ópera Actual.

The prize was given on Dec. 17, 2024, at the Auditorio AXA in Barcelona to Helena Mora, the president of the Fundación Victoria de los Ángeles. She received the award from journalist Javier Pérez Senz.

Alexandra Nowakowski, Lucía García Guerrero, Emilia Pérez, Yeraldín León, and Sebastiá Serr performed during the evening.

This is the latest distinction in a long line of awards received by the Fundación. The organization also received the Medalla de Oro al Mérito en las Bellas Artes on Nov. 27, 2024, at the Real Fábrica de Artillería in the presence of the monarchs of Spain. The organization has also received a medal from the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation.

Ópera Actual also honored mezzo-soprano María José Montiel and soprano Laia Vallés.
