Fresh Squeezed Opera Unveils 2019-20 Season, ‘Delicate Systems’

Fresh Squeezed Opera Company NYC has announced its 2019-20 season.

Entitled “Delicate Systems,” the new season begins with a 2019 showcase at the National Opera Center in New York. This performance will feature works by Sunny Knable, Julia Seeholzer, and the premiere of an FSO commission by Kaley Lane Eaton.

Performance Date:  Nov. 5, 2019

The season continues with “Electronic Voices,” which will include works by Kate Soper, Paola Prestini, Gemma Peacocke, and Emma O’Halloran, all presented at the Bloomingdale School of Music.

Performance Date: Feb. 28, 2020 

Next up is the world premiere of “Self-Defined Circuits,” which is a work with music by Jillian Flexner and words by Orlando Segarra. Bea Goodwin directs with Whitney George conducting. Performances are set for the Flea Theater in NYC

Performance Date: June 4-6, 2020

The season draws to a close with the world premiere of Goodwin and George’s “Fizz & Ginger,” “a piece inspired by women of the prohibition era music and exploring the trope of the femme fatale.” The production is set for the Flea Theater in NYC.
