Fraser Anderson Appointed Permanent Chief Executive of The Glasshouse

By Afton Markay

The Glasshouse International Centre for Music has appointed Fraser Anderson as its new Chief Executive.

The appointment, beginning immediately, follows a competitive recruitment process. Anderson has served as Interim Chief Executive for the last six months, after Abigail Pogson’s departure to the Barbican Centre in London.

Anderson brings over six years of experience within the organization. He has played a central role in shaping The Glasshouse’s strategic direction, strengthening its programs, and growing its impact with audiences and communities. Anderson’s appointment comes as The Glasshouse builds on the momentum of its 21st anniversary and looks ahead to its next chapter.

Andy Haldane, Chair of The Glasshouse, said in a press release, “Fraser has demonstrated exceptional leadership during his time as Interim CEO. He combines a deep understanding of The Glasshouse with a clear vision for its future, and the panel was unanimous in its decision to appoint him permanently. At a time of significant opportunity for the region, Fraser is well placed to ensure The Glasshouse continues to play a leading role.”
