Bayreuth Baroque has announced that its 2021 festival is set to take place between Sept. 1-14.

The two-week event will include the revival of Nicola Porpora’s “Carlo il Calvo” led by countertenor Max Emanuel Cencic under the music direction of George Petrou.

Additionally, the festival will feature the presence of noted opera stars including countertenor Franco Fagioli who will perform music by Leonardo Vinci alongside the Armonia Atenea under George Petrou.

Countertenor Jakub Jósef Orliński will perform “Anima Aeterna,” a concert featuring baroque arias. The famed Polish artist will perform alongside Il Pomo d’Oro under the musical direction of Francesco Corti.

Finally, soprano Simone Kermes will present “Canzonetta d’amore” alongside the Amici Veneziani.
