The Fonadazione Teatri di Piacenza has announced a Verdi Gala.
The concert, which marks the first in the Emilia Romagna region in Italy since the lockdown, will be held on July 4 outside of the Palazzo Farnese. The performance will showcase Francesco Meli and Luca Salsi accompanied by Davide Cavalli in music from Verdi’s “Don Carlo,” “La Forza del Destino,” and “Otello.”
The concert will celebrate the rebirth of music in the region and the Day of Sant’Antonino and will be limited to 300 seats due to sanitation regulations.
The performance will also be streamed on the company’s streaming platform.
In addition to this performance, Salsi and Meli are set to perform at the Teatro alla Scala, Festival Valle d’Itria, and Arena di Verona.
