Francesco Meli, Luca Salsi, Anastasia Bartoli & Rosa Feola Lead Teatro La Fenice’s 2022-23 Season

The Teatro La Fenice has announced its 2022-23 season.

Opera

Nicola Alaimo leads Verdi’s “Falstaff” alongside Vladimir Stoyanov, René Barbera, Selene Zanetti, Caterina Sala, Sara Mingardo, and Veronica Simeoni. Myung-Whun Chung conducts the production by Adrian Noble.

Performance Dates: Nov. 18-26, 2022

Bruno Maderna’s “Satyricon” will star Francesca Gerbasi, Matteo Ferrara, Manuela Custer, Christopher Lemmings, William Corrò, and Marcello Nardis. Alessandro Cappelletto conducts Francesco Bortolozzo’s production.

Performance Dates: Jan. 25-29, 2023

Pietro Di Bianco, Francesca Benitez, Lucrezia Drei, Martina Belli, Omar Montanari, and Juan Francisco Gatell star in Cimarosa’s “Il Matrimonio Segreto” with Alvise Casellati conducting. Luca De Fusco directs.

Performance Dates: Feb. 10-18, 2023

Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” will star Antonino Siragusa, Marco Filippo Romano, Chiara Armarù, Alessandro Luongo, and Luca Dall’Amico. Renato Palumbo conducts the production by Bepi Morassi.

Piero Pretti, Ernesto Petti, Michele Pertusi, and Anastasia Bartoli star in Verdi’s “Ernani.” Riccardo Frizza conducts the production by Andrea Bernard.

Cecilia Molinari and Silvia Frigato lead Gluck’s “Orfeo ed Euridice” with Ottavio Dantone conducting and Pier Luigi Pizzi directing.

Giuseppina Bridelli, Valeria Girardelo, and Krystian Adam star in Handel’s “The Triumph of Time and Truth” with Andrea Marcon conducting and Saburo Teshigawara directing.

Wagner’s “Der fliegende Holländer” will star Franz-Josef Selig, Anja Kampe, Toby Spence, Annelly Peebo, Leonardo Cortellazzi, and Samuel Youn. Markus Stenz conducts the production by Marcin Lakomicki.

Performance Dates: June 22-July 4, 2023

Silvia Beltrami, Jean-François Borras, Anna Malavasi, Dalibor Janis, and Martina Belli star in Mascagni’s “Cavalleria Rusticana.” Donato Renzetti conducts the production by Italo Nunziata.

Performance Dates: August 25-Sept. 3, 2023

Rosa Feola and Claudia Pavone star in Verdi’s “La Traviata” with Piero Pretti and Antonio Poli as Germont, and Gabriele Viviani and Luca Grassi as Germont.

Performance Dates: Sept. 10-Oct. 13 2023

Vivaldi’s “Orlando Furioso” is set to star Sonia Prina, Michela Antenucci, Lucia Cirillo, Luca Tittoto, Loriana Castellano, Kangmin Justin Kim, and Laura Polverelli. Diego Fasolis conducts the production by Fabio Ceresa.

Performance Dates: Sept. 23-Oct. 1, 2023

Luca Salsi, Francesco Meli, and Anastasia Bartoli lead Verdi’s “I Due Foscari” with Sebastiano Rolli conducting. Grischa Asagaroff directs the early Verdi work.

Jonathan Darlington conducts Faure’s Requiem. The program also includes soloist Davide Ranaldi and the music of Mozart.

Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 will be performed at St. Mark’s Square.
