Francesco Meli, Luca Salis & Diego Fasolis Lead Teatro la Fenice’s Reopening Concerts

The Teatro la Fenice has announced that it will reopen to the public in July.

The theater will open with chamber concerts, symphonic concerts, and an opera production, all following health regulations implemented by the government.

The first concert will be held on July 5 at 7 p.m. with the brass players of the Orchestra and choral artists from La Fenice. The concert will feature music by Copland, Monteverdi, Gabrieli, and Bach.

On July 9 and 11 at 7 p.m., Diego Fasolis will conduct an all-Handel program.

Vivaldi’s “Ottone in Villa” will be directed by Prete Rosso. Diego Fasolis conducts the opera, which is set to star Giulia Semenzato, Sonia Prina, Lucia Cirillo, Giuseppe Valentino Buzza, and Michela Antenucci. Performances will be held on July 10, 12, 14, and 15 at 7 p.m.

On July 16, the theater will offer a program of works by Strauss and Mozart, and on July 17, audiences can check out a program featuring music by Vivaldi and Albinoni.

On July 22, Alex Esposito will appear in recital, while on July 23 Luca Salsi and Francesco Meli will perform music by Verdi.
