Francesca Pia Vitale, Sally Matthews & Karen Cargill Lead Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin’s 2023-24

The Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin has announced its 2023-24 season. Here are the vocal performances for the season.

Robin Ticciati conducts Wu Wei, Karen Cargill, and Allan Clayton in Gustav Mahler’s “The Song of the Earth.” The program also includes Unsuk Chin’s ›Šu‹ for sheng and orchestra.

Performance Date: August 30, 2023

Cornelius Meister conducts Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with soloists Francesca Pia Vitale, Eugénie Joneau, Zachary Rioux, and Ossian Huskinson.

Performance Date: Sept. 3, 2023

Robin Ticciati conducts Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with soloists Sally Matthews, Karen Cargill, Christof Fischesser, and Dmitry Popov. The program also includes Helen Grime’s “Meditations on Joy.”

Performance Date: Oct. 22, 2023

Lin Liao conducts Simon Höfele and Anja Petersen in music by Alexandra Filonenko, Nina Šenk, and Arnulf Herrmann.

Performance Date: Jan. 17, 2024

Kent Nagano conducts Mahler’s Symphony No. 7.

Performance Date: Jan. 28, 2024

Michael Weinius and Dorothea Röschmann perform the second act of “Tristan und Isolde” with Franz-Josef Selig, Karen Cargill, and Jan Remmers. Robin Ticciati conducts the program which also includes Berlioz and Charlotte Bray.

Performance Date: Feb. 17, 2024

Aivis Greters conducts Okka von der Damerau in music by Wagner. The program also includes Maija Einfelde and Bruckner.

Performance Date: March 10, 2024

Marie Jacquot performs alongside the Ensemberlino Vocale in music by Sergei Prokofiev, Giuseppe Verdi, Aram Chatschaturjan, and Georg Friedrich Händel.

Performance Date: May 25, 2024

Dalia Stasevska and Aphrodite Patoulidou perform in a concert of music by Andrea Tarrodi, Benjamin Britten, and Jean Sibelius.

Performance Date: June 2, 2024
