
Fort Worth Opera Names New Fundraising Campaign & New Chair of Board of Trustees
By David SalazarFort Worth Opera has announced that Katherine Polenz is the new Chair of the Board of Trustees.
Polenz, the founder of North Star Consulting and former Head of Marketing and Public Relations at the Kimbell Art Museum, will work alongside General and Artistic Director Angela Turner Wilson to push the company in a new direction as it commences its 80th anniversary season.
“For eight decades, Fort Worth Opera has been a cornerstone of the arts in North Texas—a creative force uniting generations through music and storytelling,” said Turner Wilson in an official press release issued by the company. “This campaign is a call to action—to invest in the company’s next 80 years and ensure opera continues to inspire, educate, and reflect the community it serves.”
Additionally, the company has announced a four-year fundraising campaign aimed at raising $1 million. Phase One commences in September 2025.
