Fort Worth Opera Announces New Director of Development

By David Salazar

Fort Worth Opera has announced that Paula Parkman Parris will join the company as the new Director of Development.

Parrish joins the company after serving as Executive Director of the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth Advancement Foundation. During her time with the organization, she oversaw $125 million in assets and oversaw the Board of Directors.

In addition to her work with the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth Advancement Foundation, Parrish has worked with a number of other organizations including Leadership Fort Worth, Texas Commission on the Arts Grants Panel, and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be serving the Fort Worth Opera,” Parrish said in a press release. “I have a passion for the performing and visual arts, so helping the Opera company that has so brilliantly been resurrected by the new general director, Tuomas Hiltunen, is a real honor.

“Fort Worth holds my heart dear. And between the Cowboys and Culture personas that permeate this city, I find that Fort Worth has it all! The Opera here is a classic example of the value Fort Worth brings its residents.”
