Fort Worth Opera Announces Final 2020-21 Season Performances

First in the line will be a presentation of six scenes from Massenet’s opera “Manon” performed in transit, starring soprano Megan Koch.
Performance date: May 6, 2021
The “Mother’s Day Tea & Teddy Bear Tea” socially-distanced event will showcase live performances from the FWO Lesley Resident Artists.
Performance date: May 8, 2021
“FWO GO at Fort Worth Bike Sharing” will feature a pop-up concert of opera and musical theater favorites to entertain bikers across Fort Worth in honor of National Bike Month.
Performance date: May 20, 2021
The company will then present the series of three recitals by the FWO Lesley Resident Artists. Recitals are held indoors in the Trinity Room.
First up is “With a Gleam in Her Eye” which will spotlight soprano Gabrielle Gilliam, alongside Evan Mitchell at a piano.
Performances Date: May 15, 2021
Soprano Megan Koch will present “Pursue” alongside Evan Mitchell at a piano.
Performance date: May 22, 2021
“FWO GO at the DMA: Frida Kahlo and the Bravest Girl in the World” will be presented in partnership with the Dallas Museum of Art. The performance is a mini-version of FWO’s family friendly opera, performed in celebration of the DMA’s “Frida Kahlo: Five Works” exhibition.
Performance date: June 12, 2021
“Sounds of Summertime” will be a FWO GO pop-up concert of classic opera arias, Broadway hits, and show-stopping duets.

Finally, “Juneteenth Jamboree” community concert will spotlight performances of opera, musical theater, gospel, & contemporary hits.
