Florida Grand Opera Presents Its 2018-19 Season

The Florida Grand Opera has announced its 2018-19 season, featuring four productions.

The season opens with Puccini’s timeless tale “La Bohème.” Performances will be held in Miami and then in Fort Lauderdale with a cast to be announced at a later moment.

Performance Dates: Nov. 3-17, 2018

Mozart’s masterpiece “Le Nozze di Figaro” follows with such famous arias as “Voi che sapete” and some of the composer’s greatest ensembles.

Performance Dates: Jan. 26-Feb. 9, 2019

Robert Xavier Rodríguez’s colorful score for “Frida” will make a rare appearance on the stage of the Florida Grand Opera. The work draws upon the life of Frida Kahlo and was premiered in 1991 at the American Music Theater Festival in Philadelphia.

Performance Dates: March 16-24, 2019

Massenet’s “Werther” concludes the season showcasing the composer’s passion, elegance, and style. Audiences should be enthralled Massenet’s masterpiece and memorable arias such as “Pourquoi Me Reveiller.”

Performance Dates: April 27-May 11, 2019
