Florida Grand Opera has announced that Tina Vidal-Duart is the company’s new Chair of the Board of Directors.

She will take over for Per Olof Lööf, who has been working with her over the past year as she transitions from Chair-Elect to her new role. Lööf held the role since 2019.

“As the new Chair of this esteemed opera house, my vision is to change communities through culture, inspire younger generations through the transformative power of music, and create a welcoming space that heals people of all ages,” Vidal-Duart said per an official press statement issued by the company. “As a child, the piano lifted my spirits, and the opera was a portal to another world. Now, I am committed to ensuring that the timeless gift of music, in its purest form, resonates joyously in the hearts of people from every walk of life.”

Vidal-Duart is the CEO of CDR Health Care, Inc. and Executive VP of CDR Maguire, Inc. and has over 20 years of expertise in engineering, emergency managements, and disaster health consulting for governments. She also serves on the Miami-Dade Homeless Trust and serves on the board of the FIU Foundation and Hope Florida Foundation.
