Festival Verdi to Broadcast Three Productions from 2023 Season

The Teatro Regio di Parma is set to present performances on Classica HD from Dec. 8 to 10, 2023.

The performances will be shown on Channel 136 on Sky.

The first performance will be “Il Trovatore” in a production by Davide Livermore. Franco Vassallo, Francesca Dotto, Clementine Margaine, and Riccardo Massi star with Francesco Ivan Ciampa conducting.

Boradcast Date: Dec. 8, 2023

The second broadcast will be “I Lombardi alla prima Crociata” in a new production by Pier Luigi Pizzi. The cast includes Lidia Fridman (Giselda), Michele Pertusi (Pagano), Antonio Poli (Oronte), Antonio Corianò (Arvino), and Giulia Mazzola (Viclinda). Francesco Lanzillotta conducts.

Broadcast Date: Dec. 9, 2023

The last presentation will be the Gala Verdiano which saw Omer Meir Wellber conducting the Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini and Coro del Teatro Regio di Parma. The concert starred Eleonora Buratto, Clementine Margaine, Gregory Kunde, and Michele Pertusi performing excerpts from “I Vespri siciliani,” “Otello,” “Macbeth,” “Ernani,” “I Lombardi alla prima Crociata,” “Nabucco,” “Aida,” and “Don Carlo.”
