In a joint statement Michele Guerra, Mayor of Parma and President of the Teatro Regio di Parma Foundation and Luciano Messi, Superintendent of the Theater Regio di Parma said, “This recognition rewards the commitment of the Festival in the international valorization of the Verdean heritage, the work of those who make it possible every year and the talent of the artists who bring the strength and relevance of the Maestro’s works to the stage. It’s an incentive to continue with passion our work for Italian culture.”
The Festival Verdi is set to run between Sept. 20 and Oct. 19 and will showcase productions of “Macbeth,” “Otello,” and “Falstaff.”
